Hi, I’m Chris Drohosky. I am a recreational outdoor enthusiast in Denver who loves fishing, hunting, shooting, and dog training. Big game that I have hunted include deer, elk, antelope, and hogs. My weapon of choice for hunting big game is a compound bow. I also hunt pheasant, grouse, quail, ducks, and geese. I have two labrador retrievers. A 12 year old black named Hanna who is retired due to blindness and a 4 year old yellow named Jaxon. Jaxon just got his Junior Hunter Title this year and we are working toward his Senior Title next.
The title of the blog, Reluctant Sportsman, is actually how I describe myself along with the majority of recreational sportsmen out there. We love our sports however, for a variety of reasons, we just don’t get out in the field enough. I am far from an expert in any discipline however I am looking to change that by gaining knowledge and creating more opportunities to get out. I want my blog to be a resource of information and motivation to get other Reluctant Sportsmen off the couch and into the field. I would love to post photos of your successful hunts, upcoming events, and useful “how to” information to help the novice sportsman get started.
